SG Project 5 App Reviews
Great project management app. I’m using PRO version currently and it provides good ways to document and keep tasks updated. You can also generate custom reports easily. Recommended.
Exceptional support
These guys are real sharp at looking after their customers. Got me up and running after a hard drive crash in no time.
I needed a good project/task management tool, but one that was not overly complex or had a difficult learning curve to use. It also had to be easily understood by individuals participating in the project and other non-participants who were monitoring the project. SG Project fullfiled this need in spades. I highly recommend it for project managers and others who need a “PERT” like graphic tool to track a projects progress and control and report project tasks and their costs I started out with version 4.4.2 and then just recently upgraded to version 5. I made a few suggestions to the application developer for future features and minor modifications to be added version 5 and found him to be very responsive to my suggestions.
I used this program before on the iPad about a year ago and it was a defining feature of my project management. Extremely useful and helpful in showing what i have already complete and showing what still needs to be done. Saw it is available on osx so happy to pick it up and start using again! After about an hour of use with it I determined that it is everything I remember and went ahead and used the in-app upgrade to get the pro version. Highly recommended for project management where you want to record everything which occurs. Some other apps are only numbers and dates, which is useful perhaps but not for me. I like to put in more of a blow by blow rendition so if my manager wants to see exactly why a certain step took the time it did I dont have to try to remember, I can just send him the report. Beautiful!
Needed a basic PM tool, and this fits the bill. Easy to get started, easy to add and edit. Not robust enough for managing complex projects, but for scoping, building out a work plan, estimating resources, etc., I’ve found it very helpful and well worth the $49.99. The built-in getting started project is servicable for learning the basics: adding, editing, moving, linking, etc. Chart is a little cumbersome, but nothing worth complaining about. Exports to PDF and XML, as well as its own format. Solid.
